Question Tags

So today we revised our verb patterns with out something circles ... Find the presentation for VERB PATTERNS HERE : verb patterns

We also looked at how Auxiliary verbs can be used to make short questions and question tags...
That's your neighbour, isn't it?
You're 22 years old aren't you ?
See the presentation here : Question Tags

We watched the short film: THE MIRROR...and together we panned out the life of the man who for some reason or another didn't move house.

Your homework task is to pretend you are 80 years old, looking back at your life, and using a timeline, and then a short paragraph to exaplain some of the things you did as you got older..

Remember the point of this exercise it to use the verb patterns :

Eg. When I was 5 years old I started to ride a bicycle on my own.
Eg2. When I was 80 years old I stopped remembering peoples' names...

If you have any queries just pop a message in my contact box!

Also don't forget to start thinking about your presentations!

Identity theft...

Today we looked at Identity theft...

“Why doesn’t anyone want to steal MY twitter identity?”
(The latest piece by Caroline Paul & me for Dell.)

we discussed questions like :

How can someone steal your identity?

Whose identity would you like to steal for a day and what would you do in those 24 hours?

How can you prevent identity theft?

Is identity theft a minor or major crime?

Whose identity would you like to steal for a day and what would you do in those 24 hours?

We watched this video:

Liar liar...

So in our last class we spoke about honesty...and after filling out the chart I think we can conclude that the class is overall...we..pretty dishonest!

We watched this video to learn how we can ready body language in order to see if somebody is lying or telling the truth :

We also had a look at phrases such as 'Despite' or 'In spite of' so don't forget to revise these in your student books...

We also looked at the PPS active & passive last week, so take a look at the PowerPoint if you would like to revise it : PPS active/passive
Don't forget to revise your IRREGULAR past participles...
